Nicktoons Inspired: Farily Odd Parents, Wanda.

Hello! Happy New Years!
Just sharing a new look I did, It's not as dramatic as what I could have done.
But I'm happy with it, regardless.
I'm going to start a series of looks based on Nicktoons Characters.
This one in inspired by Wanda from the Fairly Odd Parents.

I hate New Years parties, but I'm going to one.
I'm not even going to do anything fancy with my face.

Hello! - NYX COSMETICS REVIEW/HAUL

Hello! My name is Rowan, please call me Thumbs. I am very very new to this site so please forgive any silly mistakes I make! I prominently use Tumblr (Cosmetics/art Tumblr) - but obviously, I've found that the formatting of the site is only good for short posts/images. Blogger is much much better for makeup/art walk thrus & reviews.

So, I suppose you guys are more interested in the makeup it's self, enough about me! Let's get on with it.

_______________________________________________________________________________

I'll start out with introducing my new blush pallet from Coastal Scents.  I actually adore this company just because they constantly have great deals & a bigger selection of Micas/Ultramarines if you're into making your own products. The pallet I purchased is the 6 Contour Blush Pallet.  I've had my eye on this pallet for months now, but it's a little pricey on it's own; but they had a sale a week or two ago & I pretty much got the pallet free - all I had to pay was shipping. Not bad at all.

Anyways, here's a picture of my ugly face untouched. (Please ignore the chapped lips - it's a hard time of year)

Just basic foundation/powder. I used my Kryolan TV stick to help cover some yucky spots.
The Pallet.

Added some definition to my chubby face with the brown and salmon/peach color.

Blush & light highlights, using the top right pink & very first white.

All in all I actually adore this pallet & I'm so happy to add it to my collection. The powders are very pigmented, but not overly done. It really helps so you don't end up with a huge glob of brown on your face! The colors are also very fine & light, it doesn't make your face feel constricted or coated like other powders. This is a super plus! I'd say this pallet get's a good 9/10!

I really suggest picking this up if your new to the makeup world or just want a really nice addition to your pallets.
Just a finished look I did after; you can see the powder is very light and does such good subtle contouring. Of course, you could wet your brush a little for a more dramatic contour. (My lips are NYX Lip Matte in Tokyo & Mega Shine Lipgloss in French Kiss)

Alright, now we can get to the extra fun stuff! ! ! - I totally splurged & went to Joy's Cosmetics on ebay. I LOVE her shop; you can get so much for a decent price. Her 'pick threes', 'pick fives' are the best. Not only were the prices great, the shipping was so fast! I spent over 50$ so she discounted my shipping & put in a free little gift (Two lip liners). It was such a sweet surprise. Not only that, my products came in PERFECT condition, wrapped beyond belief with care to make sure nothing broke. I have ordered cosmetics online before & more than half the time my products come broken from poor packaging. Not the case with this seller.

With that being said, I am so glad I found her store & I will be back! If you're looking for a good shop to buy 'larger' quantities of NYX cosmetics, please; go to her.

Here's my whole haul. 1) Lipsticks in: Harmonica(x2), Strawberry Milk, Power, Narcissus, Indian Pink (x2), Tea Rose, & Paris. *I already owned both Harmonica, & Indian Pink* 2) Mega Shine Lipgloss- French Kiss, Soft Matte Lip Cream- Tokyo, Girl's Gloss- Mauve & Ballerina Pink, Lip Pencil- Aurora & brown. 3) Eyeshadows- Cool Blue, Lagoon Sparkle & Mauve. 4) Eyeshadow Base- ESBO1-White, ESBO2-w/pearl, & ESBO3-Skin Tone.

 1) These lipsticks have always been my favourite. I've always had at least three in my makeup kit at a time. Every color I have tried, I've adored. They carry such a creamy consistency & pack a lot of pigment! The wear on them could be better, I find myself re applying quite a bit through out the day; but I gnaw on my lips a lot. There are so many shades available in this line I think it's worth buying a few. 8/10

2) I'm just going to say right off the bat that I LOVE every single one of these products. Just like the lipstick there are so many shades & they are ALL pigmented. I find the wear on the lip matte is definitely much much better than the lipsticks - the glosses hold up pretty nicely too. I like to layer my lipsticks & glosses so it all stays on pretty nicely. 10/10 all products.

3) I was expecting a lot more with these eyeshadows; & I was quite disappointed. They all have a great texture & blend nicely but the pigment & adhesive is very very lamb like. You have to layer a lot to get any color to show up to a nice level, even subtle. However, after a really good base (Like my new NYX ones) & a few layers, the achieved colors are gorgeous! 6/10

4) The bases are really cool! (you can see in the very second picture of this post; I used the ESOB3 as a base. - They're really creamy, but still light! Completely opposite of their jumbo eye crayons. You have to layer a little bit, but I really don't mind, this stuff is a magnet & I love it! 10/10

So, that's all I got, a really short (I hope) review for my first post & hopefully in the future I get more in depth! Give me time, this was my first review! haha (: x x x

I hope to post many makeup tutorials/looks on here, so even if you don't care about the products please stick around! Thanks a bunches!!

-Thumbs.
